Rip audio from YouTube video

Grabbing audio from a YouTube video makes sense for those videos which you can enjoy as an audio too. Whether it be a lecture, comic or a rare background score from a movie that's not available in soundtrack, extracting the audio and saving it for later listening is a cool thing. Dirpy converts YouTube video to audio (mp3) files that you can save to your computer.

To grab audio from a YouTube video, simply enter the YouTube URL for that video on Dirpy's website. Dirpy also gives you the ability to specify the starting and ending time within the video. So, it is easy to extract the audio for a specific part of the video or to split the audio of a video into multiple files. You can also edit the ID3 tag data of the audio file so that you can get the file that is nicely tagged. You can select from 3 levels of quality (64 - 128 kbps) for the resulting mp3 file.

One additional feature is that Dirpy provides links to download the YouTube video in flv or mp4 format and they have a bookmarklet for easy access.
